North York Academy is proud to celebrate a remarkable achievement by our 2010 Boys team, who have been crowned PISL Champions after an outstanding undefeated season.

Finishing with a perfect 11-0-0 record, the group demonstrated consistency, discipline, and a high level of performance throughout the campaign. From the opening match to the final whistle, the team maintained focus and intensity, setting the standard week after week.

This accomplishment is a reflection of both individual growth and collective strength. Throughout the season, the players continued to develop technically, tactically, physically, and mentally, embodying the core principles of the North York Academy development model. Their ability to work together, compete, and execute under pressure played a key role in their success.

Beyond the results, the team’s mentality stood out. Each player showed commitment to improvement, pushing themselves and their teammates in every training session and match. That consistency ultimately translated into a championship-winning season.

The coaching staff also played a crucial role in guiding the group, creating a structured and positive environment that allowed players to reach their full potential.

Reflecting on the team’s journey, S&C Coach Mark shared:
“This success comes back to the hard work the players have put in and their buy-in to strength and conditioning, gaining those small percentages on the pitch which are really paying off. It’s a reflection of the entire club, from coaches and staff to athletes and parents, all contributing to creating a culture where we can continue to build success and make winning a consistent feeling moving forward.”

Head Coach Miguel also added:
“As we reflect on our winter season, it’s important to recognize the journey this group has been through. We started with some inconsistency, and while early results were positive, they did not always reflect our full potential. Through hard work and commitment, the players showed growth, maturity, and a stronger understanding of the game, which led to being crowned league champions with one game still to play. We are extremely proud of their resilience and will continue focusing on their development both on and off the field.”

Reflecting on the team’s journey, Goalkeeper Coach Max shared:
“In my past few years observing this kids growing mentally, physically, tactically I can say that this is well deserved result, the progress of this group is visible and I’m sure if the group continue to work hard, follow their dreams, believe in themselves, partners and process they are capable to achieve even more then PISL trophy.”

This PISL Championship marks an important milestone for the group and highlights the strength of the pathway at North York Academy. It stands as a testament to what can be achieved through hard work, belief, and a commitment to long-term development.

We congratulate all players and coaches involved on an exceptional season and look forward to seeing their continued success in the years ahead.
